The pharmacy staff at C. F. Solutions, Inc is dedicated to providing state of the art pharmacy services for patients with cystic fibrosis.
Oral medications are filled by the pharmacy personnel, lot numbers are recorded, drug interactions are monitored  and drug information is provided for medications. Physicians are notified when a drug interaction is suspected or if there are questions regarding a patient's therapy. The pharmacy staff is available during business hours for questions regarding prescription medications. On call staff is available for emergencies after hours and on weekends/holidays. Prescription refills can be called to our office during business hours or left on our refill line 24 hours a day.
Intravenous medications for patients are prepared in our pharmacy "clean area." This is a special room sealed off from the pharmacy and is a space dedicated only for medications requiring preparation under sterile conditions. These medications are prepared in a laminar flow hood which provides bacteria free air around the area where the medications are prepared. The pharmacy personnel prepares these medications in the "clean area" under the laminar flow hood after they have thoroughly washed their hands with antibacterial soap, gowned, donned shoe  coverings, hair nets and gloves. We take every precaution to make sure that medications are prepared in the most sterile environment available. The pharmacy staff is also subject to yearly evaluations on their ability to prepare these medications in an accurate fashion using the appropriate sterile technique. |
